It might be a decent sub woofer if it would stay on.I have had two of these and they both won't stay on.I have called support and they recommend turning up the sub gain all the way on my receiver. I did that and it still loses the signal and turns off.I tried it with Onkyo and Denon receivers and it does the same thing.Not recommended at all.By the way if you listen to your music at ear bleeding levels it might stay on but not at low or normal levels.

Promaster XC522 Tripod with Ball Head, Gunmetal Black Review

Was looking for a travel tripod as my day trip tripod. Looked at the mefoto, but strength rating wasnt as high for the comparable item, and was looking for a slightly smaller package. I took the leap of faith and got this tripod.

It's so small that I will bring it with me everywhere. Times where I would leave home the tripod due to weight and size are over! With any small tripod like this, you need to be careful to use it within it's limits. Will I tilt the head 90 degrees or close to it for portrait shots? Not likely, get an L plate if you're going to tweak the hell out of a small tripod.

I have shot portraits with this, using a 5D + 24-70 + 580ex flash... and it held up fine. I was concerned about putting that much weight on the tripod, but no issues. Love the portability, although I think the monopod mode will be completely useless.

The product comes with paint chipped off at various places, some metal parts appears rusted.

The biggest disappointment is that it does not come with light arms. descriptions indicate that "Copy Lights sold separately," which I interpreted as the actual lights in the images and not the adjustable light arm too. I just looked up "Adorama RS-C150 Copy Light Set, Two Copy Lights with Sdjustable Arms" and they are out of stock. so you will likely to be buying a stand alone copy stand without compatible light arms available.

The shipping is almost $25, thus the price is not competitive compared to other sellers. Also, the shipment is poorly packaged, the corner of the base has wood/paint chipped off when arrived.

I gave it two stars because the stand itself is easy to install, and fairly light. its quality is barely okay (chipped paints at various locations not due to shipping damage). but poor shipping package, and the image/descriptions are misleading.

500mm ROKINON MF Telephoto Lens for CANON EOS Elan, XTi, XSi, 30D, 50D Review

I bought this lens for the sole purpose of taking moon shots. After a few hours of experimenting I found that the lense appeared to be very well built, it mounted easily to the tripod, and it was simple to operate the focus and apature rings. YOU MUST HAVE A TRIPOD!!! Even with the 2x teleconverter, which some people have reffered to as a "nice gesture by the company" in previous reviews, I took some amazing pictures of the moon as well as some wildlife shots. If you have a DSLR and know just the basics of using it then this lens is probably not for you. However, if you have a sound knowledge of photography and lighting and are willing to experiment and be patient, you can achieve success with this lens. I'm not gonna tell you that you will end up with the same images taken with a $5000 lens, but for the money it can't be beat. I would also recommend a uv filter which is a 67mm.
