HTC One V obsidian black Review

Two of my main characteristics as a mobile user: I always buy phones without contracts and I like to squeeze the juice of most of my tech devices until they are practically useless. I needed a new smartphone, my old Nokia E71 had been a faithful companion throughout almost 4 years, but Symbian simply wasn't cutting it anymore. The iPhone was as always alluring (Androidsters: You know it is, admit it...) but I simply was not willing to spend that much money on the device. I started checking HTC phones, the reviews were pretty good. After careful consideration I decided to try the One V thinking it would be a nice entry level android device.
Package came, looking nice.... Wow! Did I say entry level? The first thing that caught my attention was the beautiful finish of the phone, with a nice matte colored metal casing and a good weight (You know, not too light nor too heavy, just perfect). Charged it, turned it on and started playing with it. Next "Wow!" moment: Android, where have you been all my life? Fell in love with the system. The phone simply works the way you want it. The touchscreen is highly responsive and scrolling is done really fast. Resolution might not be the best that is out there but it gets the job done. It has a descent camera, I never understood the mania to have anything over 5mp when the optics are crap so I prefer cameras under 5 mp (If I need high qualty images, I have my dslr always at hand...). No front facing camera but I never use video chat so I do not need it. Excellent audio output by Beats Audio, IMHO even better than the iPhone. Memory is kind of low but you can add a micro SD and boost it. Another important factor for me: The phone is made in Taiwan. For all of you that do not know it, Taiwan belongs to the small group of Asian countries together with South Korea and Japan where it is safe to say that the workers making the device get treated humanely and receive a descent wage for their work. This is important for me, first of all you tend to receive better quality and second I do not want a beautiful phone that was made by abused workers (BTW: My old Nokia was made in Finland!). So I can only say: This smartphone is awesome, I love my One V and HTC is my new favorite brand!

The Joy Factory Tournez Clamp Mount with MagConnect Technology for iPad mini (MME103) Review

The product's mechanics work fine. The problem is the plastic ring that wraps around the magnet. It started cracking into little pieces after a few uses. . I'm in the processing of exchanging it for another one. I would return it but my son really loves the versatility of the product.
Update. Amazon was great in getting me the replacement. The problem is that plastic ring around the magnet piece is cracking again in this brand new one after just a few uses. I'm disappointed in such poor quality for a product that was so well designed.

I d�n't write product reviews normally, however this phone is so acomplished, so I felt inclined to share my experience for those who are looking for a well balance smartphone with very good size without communications compromises. I have been using this phone since January this year. The best fetures are: Size and weight are just perfect when you are travelling while really working at the same time, it is wifi enabled so you can avoid expensive packed data fees while still check your email on the go at airports and cafes with wifi free spots, if you are in a hurry to check internet data you still can use 3g / 3.5g data connections, it is a blazing fast smartphone with true multitasking, coming from many years using palm os I became acustomed to not have multitasking at all, but let me tell you that symbian is a great mobile OS far better than the venerable palm OS, almost any application you might need is available at affordable prices or even for free, the interface is also very intuitive and very easy to understand. While it is a very good communicator, it is not a phone for all, because its multimedia capabilities are in the medium to low level, the camera is just for occasional pictures that do not require neither a flash nor a good focus and the included speaker is not stereo so you need a good headset with stereo output to listen to your tunes, radio has not RDS, these are the characteristics I like to improve, however probably that requires a larger and heavier body I would not like. If you need to synchronize your mobile with your desktop just named your preferred pim application: Outlook, Lotus Notes, Lotus Organizer all could be set up to be in sync with the E51, you could even sync with your corporate services under Microsoft Internet Server. Also if you like the blackberry the E51 could run the Nokia Blackberry Connect application, even when the Nokia site has not included this model as certified for the application, it could run it without issues. What else you could desire in a phone the same size of a regular not smart one at this price level. Bottom line the slimmest S60 smartphone available with wifi and full gsm and data connections set.

Casio Phonemate TA140 Digital Answering Machine Review

I bought this answering maching without researching other models. I suppose in a way, I lucked out! I needed an answering machine, and this one does everything fairly well. The recordings of my greetings are relatively clear. The machine is very easy to use. I like the fact that it is digital and I don't have to mess with cassette tapes. It keeps the time and the date, and stamps it to every message. Another good feature is that it has a large caller id screen, which of course helps in screening calls!I thought the price was very reasonable. Overall I am very satisfied with this product. Filmguy's review caused quite a laugh for me. This Vivitar is a FILM camera!!! No, there is not a lcd screen to review or preview your shots. You will not find one on ANY film camera from any maker. I have an older model of this camera and it works great. It is very basic (no autofocus, shutter priority or aperture priority). But the glass is good and will take good pics.

No lcd!! lol :D
