The product's mechanics work fine. The problem is the plastic ring that wraps around the magnet. It started cracking into little pieces after a few uses. . I'm in the processing of exchanging it for another one. I would return it but my son really loves the versatility of the product.
Update. Amazon was great in getting me the replacement. The problem is that plastic ring around the magnet piece is cracking again in this brand new one after just a few uses. I'm disappointed in such poor quality for a product that was so well designed.
