To be honest, this is one of those products that just silently goes about it's job. It is mounted in the laundry room and sends signals via a cellular network to our alarm company. Our installer tested it and it was working fine. We will test it periodically, but so far we have only had it a month and a half, so I just have to trust it's quality. I do like the fact that since the signal is cellular a "bad guy" can't cut the land line and disable the alarm.
