This headset was first announced for February 2012, but it was actually released in August.

For a long time I used with my now old Koss SB49 Communication Stereophone, I already superglued it a few times when plastics parts broke and now I started to have trouble with the mic so it was time for a change. I tested a lot of gaming headset, and until now I never found the perfect solution.

This headset is really well built, featuring a comfortable leather padding for earcups and headband, metallic parts, etc... Far from cheap plastic things that will break in a few months, at least I hope!
Earcups can rotate, headband is extendable so it should fit most of head sizes, and it is not too heavy which is a good thing if you plan to use it during long gaming sessions. After one week end of tests I can say that I find it very comfortable.
The USB/jack plug system is really nice, you can directly plug it to your computer with the USB cable, or to any 3.5mm mp3 player/phone or audio source (both USB to micro USB and 3.5 to micro USB braided cable are provided). The removable mic is also a nice touch if you plan to use it in a plane or in public transportation to listen some music.
Controls located directly on the headset, and not on the cable as it's often the case, is at first a little disturbing, but it's just a matter of hours to get used to it.

Audio quality is excellent, for music, game sounds and voice. Microphone is sensitive and the noise canceling feature very efficient. I tested it over Mumble and Skype, and for both of these it my voice was loud and clear for my contact, even when testing with computer fan running on high speed, or the TV in the background.

In short, superb sound quality, very good voice capture and robust feeling about the headset.

Why not 5 stars?
Well because even if it's a really good product, it's not perfect:
- First of all this headset is quite expensive.
- A transport bag or case would have been nice, especially because you can't really fold it and between rotating and removable parts it would have been convenient.
- Major problem to me, but may hopefully be fixed by a firmware update, when plugged to a Mac using USB, the volume button of the headset also change the sound volume of the currently selected output on the computer. If it's the headset it mean that it will be really loud or almost silent in one small rotation. If it's not, it means that your speakers volume will be changed as soon you change your headset settings.
