Initial enrollment of the fingerprints was pretty straight forward and it was able to read my fingerprints immediately. I am only using the Mac authentication functionalities of the reader, so I have not yet tried the app launch and web login features. But I do use Spotlight to launch apps and other password manager to keep my web logins, so I'll just use this reader to authenticate into my Mac.

While authenticating, one thing I found is that you can't swipe your finger quickly right after it prompts for it, as it actually takes a second or two to initialize the reader. Once the reader has initialized, so far it has been pretty accurate.

Definitely something you should look into if you want to have biometric authentication on your Mac laptop.

I'll provide more updates to this review after I've used this for an extended period of time.
