Concerning the phone:
This phone is an excellent clone of the Samsung S3, but it is NOT an exact replica in terms of software or certain hardware specs. For the average smart phone user however you won't really know or care about the differences, especially when you factor in the price.

I do have some cautions for those of you who care to use this phone with Straight Talk or any other prepaid SIM related company. YOU WILL RUN INTO PROBLEMS SENDING MMS or VIDEO CHATTING.
The reason being is that the original settings for this phone's APN is off and it seems like when you use Straight Talk's configuration there are still some compatibility issues. However, don't fret because "finding" the right APN settings will ensure you have a great phone and can send MMS, use the internet, and download without a problem. Your task is to find the right one. In my case I have set up 3 different APNs for different funtions, but I have found that one works fine for all my data needs. I will post the settings on that later if anyone request it.

Straight talk does not offer any updates for the Android OS, this device runs on Jelly Bean 4.1.1, and even though 4.2.1 hasn't been released for the U.S (I think), it is unlikely that Straight Talk will an update for it; but who knows?

The specs of the phone are exactly what they appear as, nice screen size and horrible front camera ( all the stuff you have already read). And I have read a lot of complaints about the battery, an quick fix would be to download an app killer so that you are not wasting battery life on random apps.

The internet speed is great, the feel is great, you definitely will need to buy some kind of protection for a phone like this, if it drops once...its over.
Remember if your internet isn't working its NOT the phone, check your APN under settings---more----mobile networks---Access Point Names.
