I bought this to go along with my Benro carbon tripod and they work beautifully together. This unit is silky smooth and the knobs are very useful with no give or sticking. Everything on this unit is gradual and smooth. Nothing jerks, sticks, or grinds. It holds a lot of weight (Canon 7D with 24mm 1.4 or 70-200mm 4.0 and flash) and has been very dependable in all conditions.

I recommend it, but get a larger one if you have heavier gear. I think they come in three sizes and this in the middle one. It has been just fine for all my gear.
