ZRS HD 8x42 Monocular Review

i purchased this monocular as a back-up unit to my eschenbach 8x32 keplerian telescope/monocular . after just one week of glassing, i can categorically state that this zrs hd monocular is, in my opinion, optically superior to the eschenbach (brighter, sharper,more contrasty images). considering that this zrs unit cost me 25% of what i spent on the eschenbach, the former is a far better buy than the latter. it appears and feels solidly built. it is very light and does not require the steadiest hands to keep the image from being "swimmy" and does not require a lot of time and effort to focus on an object or on a scene. although the eschenbach unit has very good optics, i hardly use it nowadays because it has non-hd glass and cannot measure up to performance level of the zrs; it is now my back-up unit. the views i see through the zrs are far more satisfying and enjoyable. i cannot recall if there ever was an occasion where my money was better spent. I highly recommend this product!
