I bought the camera for a trip to Australia (I live in BHAM AL). I used my charger before the trip to charge the battery that came with the camera and an extra battery to take with me. I took many pictures. I took a converter with me so I could use the Australian outlets. I plugged my camera up. It did not charge the battery. I thought it was the converter but my aunt had a Nikon camera and charger too. Her charger worked for my camera. So I had to take turns using my aunt's charger and sometimes there was not enough time to charge both cameras. Thank goodness I had a second charged battery. But, once the charge was down - like I said I took alot of pics - I ended up with a camera that did not get charged enough. Therefore, our last night in Australia at the "good bye party" my camera was not taking good pictures. Other than that, the camera took very good pictures.
