Product Description
Samson Concert 77 lapel wireless system is an ideal solution for any professional application. The Concert 77 lapel wireless provides high performance UHF True-Diversity Wireless at an incredible price. The Concert 77 UHF Wireless systems feature half rack space/dual antenna receivers with 6 segment audio and RF metering, volume and squelch controls, 1/4-inch unbalanced and XLR balanced outputs (switchable mic/line level), a rugged beltpacks transmitter with On/Off and Audio Mute switches, a battery meter, and audio level controls. The CT7 beltpack transmitter is configured as a headset system thanks to the popular locking P3 input connection. The CT7 also features a three-segment battery indicator, separate power and audio on/off switches, adjustable AF level (audio gain), and 12-hours of battery life on a single 9-volt battery. The CR77 true-diversity half-rack UHF receiver is the core of the Concert77 system. The new synthesized PLL frequency control circuitry keeps the signal locked and true while dual tuned molded antennas with LEDs monitor the true-diversity operation. The CR77 features a front panel display with large multi-segment Audio level and RF level LED meters, and a large rotary volume knob allows easy adjustment of audio output. The rear panel features balanced XLR and un-balanced 1/4-inch outputs allowing flexible connection options. Two CR77 receivers can be rack mounted together in a single space rack adapter available as an added accessory.Samson Concert 77 UHF TD Lapel Wireless LM10 Microphone System, Channel N2 Review
I have purchased 4 different systems to try to fit my audio needs. First, I got the $120 Audio 2000's Dual Lavaliere kit. The sound was good, but the quality was horrible. The antenna broke right out of the box. I could see this breaking in less than a year. Secondly, I got this. I was excited because the build quality is night and day better than the Audio 2000's. Unfortunately, the internal components of this device are extremely cheap,a nd do not allow for a usable signal. It simply did not provide audio. The gain was up all the way, and it didn't work. I am no rookie at this, so it's not me. It was a shame too because the build quality appears to be excellent. So after that I got the WMS-PRO from Azden. That is a nice little device, but for my purposes, the audio sounds too much like FM radio, and that's not good enough.Do yourself a favor. On a budget of less than $200 either:
Get the WMS-PRO from Azden for $150 (VHF, but excellent build quality)
or
Get the Audio Technica ATW-701 for $200 (UHF, and excellent build quality)
I have the ATW-701. For the money, it cannot be beat.
P.S. If you need to make it portable, but build a parallel battery pack with 8 AA batteries = 12V
