Camera takes decent quality video. I like the form and tripod stand. The main reason I have a low rating is that the micro sdhc card will not seat properly most of the time. On the occasion it does seat properly, a small vibration will cause it to unseat and the camera will start beeping. I am sorry I did not return it in the allotted time. I would suggest a JVC which uses a full size SDHC card and has the removable battery, about the same price. I purchased the JVC after the Contour and it has a 1in screen built into the side for adjusting setting or viewing if you can see that small You can get a Sandisk SDHC pro at 90mbs for about half the price of a micro,Read a lot of reviews before I purchased, guess the one I received fell into the 1 or 2 star quality.
I would also look closely at the GO Pro, which seems to be the industry standard. The deep discounting on the Contour is probably more indicative of quality issues, than jus clearing out a model.
