I bought these while on an Alaskan cruise. I looked at other Konus binoculars as well; these turned out to be ideal for my purposes. The magnification is perfect for scenery - close, but not so close as to narrow the view too much. I could see eagles quite clearly, and glaciers were absolutely stunning at that mag level. The binoculars are a bit weighty, but not uncomfortably so. They come with a nice carrying case as well.

The only drawback is that the front lens covers are detachable. I nearly lost one when I brushed against something; fortunately someone noticed and handed it back to me.
